The location was close to rail and bus centre. A few take aways and resturants around. The building and garden were just lovely. Breakfast was amazing. Staff were all so lovely.

The location was amazing to explore York. The room was a very good size, much bigger than I thought it would be with an equally big bathroom. Very friendly staff - nothing was a problem.

I love how the guest house is right in the centre of town and how it’s so close to everything. Lovely host who is very helpful and knowledgeable about what sights to see. Would definitely stay here and again and will be recommending to others.

We've had an amazing stay in The Vanguard York! A week before our arrival, we received all check-in instructions and more via WhatsApp. After our arrival, the owner send us another text asking if everything was okay. We really appreciated that! The shower was amazing, it was clean, you could make tea, coffee or hot chcolate and there was a hair dryer to use. Also a TV with Netflix! The hotel was near the city center

We stayed at Diamonds Guest House in November - the room was clean and very warm! The gentleman, who checked us in was polite and very helpful when we asked for help with the parking for the following day (we only stayed at the hotel for one night but spent the rest of the day in York). The location is great, within walking distance to the centre and some relly cute coffee/brunch places nearby. Highly recommend! 🌟

Very nice and helpful owner, great location close to the bus stop, delicious breakfast! Board games available and a small lounge where you could sit after checking out. I recommend it!
