We loved Minster Walk Guesthouse! The location was great, very close to the town centre. The property was very cosy and welcoming, just what we were looking for. There were some lovely little extra touches, for example mini mince pies and a liquor waiting for us in our room and mulled wine in the downstairs lounge. The breakfast was brilliant, lovely to have it delivered to our room and they were very good at accomodating my husbands gluten allergy.

Barbican House is a 4-stars guest house set in a late Victorian building, just 10 minutes’ walk from York city centre and university and overlooking the medieval city walls.

We had a fantastic time staying here .Sabina was most welcoming on our arrival and couldn't do enough for us during our visit.The room was gorgeous and it felt like home ,the bathroom was stunning and spotless with beautiful towels and top class soaps etc The facilities in the room were very good 👍, lovely and clean with lots of coffee and tea etc.The bed was very comfy and the settee was wonderful.The breakfast was gorgeous with a good choice and plenty of it. Needless to say we know we have found the perfect stay for us in the future. It feels more personal staying here with lovely hosts and we can't praise them enough. Simply wonderful❤❤❤

The room had everything I needed for a short stay in York. The little touches like water bottles and chocolate were very welcome. It was also great to be able to walk to and from the train station and into the old town.
