Amazing location, a little bit unusual breakfast deal, you get the food in the evening and keep it in the fridge. But it was nice. I liked it, the muffin was very good and you can eat in bed.

The staff were friendly, extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The breakfast is fantastic, very copious and made with quality ingredients. The room was very good with a comfortable bed and tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The bathroom was compact but clean and had a good, hot shower. It was great to be able to park on the property too as parking is not easy in Castleton. The establishment is just a few hundred yards from the town centre and you can do Mam For, visit the castle, and nearby caverns without taking your vehicle. The tap room on site is lively and fun. We had no problems with noise.

Charming place with kind and helpful staff. Spacious room is separated from the bar and the restaurant so there is no noise. Food for dinner was delicious and reasonably priced, and the breakfast was also fabulous. Spent just one night but would definitely come back again to explore Peak District.

This location is a local pub in a tiny village. It is about 20 minutes from Bakewell and those 20 minutes are spent driving down country lanes...which I found to be a absolutely glorious. The space was clean and well maintained. The pub was charming. Everyone who worked there was lovely. Highly recommended this place.
