Sergio, our host, was superb. From sending a text to ensure a personal arrival, to wishing us farewell the next day. Sergio met us on arrival and carried my case up the amazing staircase after explaining things about the establishment and surrounding areas. Sent us local places to eat and drink by text. Our room was fabulous and super comfortable. Small details go a long way! Even the spare toilet paper 🧻 was made into a flower 🌼 Although we had a thunderstorm during the night and a road outside, we both slept through it! Breakfast was served in the garden..the sun was shining and a warm day. Edu was very attentive. The local area was beautiful to visit. We will return and stay again when we are back in the area for a longer holiday. Thank you again.

Pension Rocio is situated in Ampuero. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Some units in the guest house have private entrance and are fitted with desk and wardrobe.

Great breakfast for €4. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Nice location and easily reached by car from Santander. Nice cheap base to visit nearby places.

A wonderful small hotel set in a beautiful location within a very small village. The hotel was perfect in every way , we stay in the new building which had lounge , reception and restaurant. The bedroom was delightful with comfy beds , nice rural view and stunning shower room. We ate in the restaurant and had an outstanding tasting menu which not only tasted good but was beautifully presented (and far far better than we have recieved in other 5 star restaurants). The hospitality team were professional and still super friendly and helpful, and the property so clean. We will definitely return again to sample this place again.

Very nice place to stay we were so comfortable. The room was perfectly clean and the owner was very understanding to our delayed arrival.

The location 5 minutes drive inland from Laredo and its countless beaches. The house is well decorated and perfectly maintained, the bathroom is comfortable and very modern, the bed mattresses are exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast is very good, and the hotel has a private parking lot right in front of the restaurant terrasse which is also a cafe during the day. The hotel is 1 minute walk away from the pedestrian centre town of Ampuero with a very large offer of restaurants with terrasses.
