The location is in the old central city near bakeries, cafes, mobile phone stores and many other charming small businesses. The Cathedral, lighthouse, and marina are 5 minutes away. We got the room with a roof patio and could not be happier even if the walk up four levels after an 18 mile walk with full backpacks was more challenging than usual.

Excellent stay. Brilliant pool. Unbelievable views. The staff were extremely friendly. The meals were incredible value.

Pension Rocio is situated in Ampuero. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Some units in the guest house have private entrance and are fitted with desk and wardrobe.

Great breakfast for €4. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Nice location and easily reached by car from Santander. Nice cheap base to visit nearby places.
