Lovely stay with included breakfast, on top of a beautiful roof with a view of other rooftops. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere; we actually spent a lot of time in the sofa area on the roof. Bibo was an excellent host for us, communicated often and arranged for things like breakfast time and dinner. The place is an excellent value, and the room was very new and clean, with a comfortable bed. Downstairs in the daytime is a cute shop with handmade goods.

the location was great right.by the ferry easy to walk anywhere on the island. The room was large. The bathroom was modern with great water pressure. The entire guest house is really clean. There is a small kitchen with a fridge which was super convenient. Ahmed was very helpful and arranged some tours for me, he also had great tips about things in the area and getting around. the views from the patios are spectacular I loved my stay on the island.

A great laid back place to stay on the West Bank, close to the public ferry and the tombs of the nobles. The facilities are new and clean. The owners and his family are super hospitable. Abu Guest House is the perfect place to stay in Aswan. Located on beautiful Elephantine Island, which is rich in ancient history and amazing to explore. The rooms are large and very clean, with all the amenities you need for a perfect stay. You will feel at peace on the rooftop, surrounded by mango trees and a view of the Nile, while you enjoy a meal from Abu. The food is incredible, with great quality and generous servings. Elephantine Island is relaxed and friendly, with many great restaurants and cafes to enjoy. A big thank you to Abu who made my stay incredible. Abu organised trips for me to Abu Simbel and Philae temple, and a boat ride to Kitchener’s Island and the Nubian village, at exceptional prices. Abu was always on hand to answer any questions I had. I will definitely be staying here again in future, and recommend it to anyone visiting Aswan.

If you are planning a trip to Aswan, Elephantine Island on the Nile , La Terrace Aswan is the guest house you NEED to stay at. The house is so lovely and spotlessly clean. The view of Aswan Corniche from the wonderful terrace are fabulous day and night. Now on to Mohammed, the proprietor. The nicest, kindest, most genuine man you’ll meet. He looked after us like we were family. We flew into Aswan from Cairo but when we arrived in Cairo our luggage wasn’t. We messaged Mohammed just to let him know what happened and even though at this stage we still hadn’t met he took ownership of the issue and just ran with it. He had a car meet us at the airport which took us straight to a pharmacy to buy toiletries before taking us to the guest house. The following morning after making sure we had some breakfast he guided us to a shopping centre where we could purchase replacement clothing. In addition to all this Mohammed looked after all our bookings for tours and trips. He well and truly saved our holiday. The beds in the room were so comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful. Mohammad, thank you for being the perfect host in your gorgeous house. Best of luck to you.
