We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and really recommend it. It is at the outskirts of the town with a great view of the green landscape while being just seven wonderful, relaxing and absolutely safe minutes walk to the central square. Barichara is such a relaxing place and Artepolis is a lovely corner of it. We stayed four nights after a long ride from Sweden (40h) so we had three full days. One hanging around town and recovering the long trip, one doing the Camino real and strolling around town, and finally one where we went on a day trip by bus to Juan Curi waterfalls via San Gil, which is very easy. Perhaps it would be smarter with three nights and one extra in San Gil after the waterfall, but Artepolis made it absolutely worth the detour. Breakfast was typically Colombian and very good, and a beer or water could be grabbed all day by the fridge for a very low price. Everything is really clean and tidy and the owner is very helpful and kind. Bedroom and bathroom is super nice. No hot water, but that’s fine. It’s very relaxed here. The rooms are along a beautiful veranda, facing the garden and a valley beyond and has a couch for each room. A perfect place to sit and rest, for me usually with a cold beer. Enjoy!

Everything was just amazing! The staff is super friendly and helpful (they booked bustickets and activities for us). The owner Darío is also really nice and on Friday we received a salsa lesson from his wife, which was a lot of fun! The pool is great for the hot days. The shower also gets really hot (you don’t know how much you miss hot showers until you don’t have them available anymore) and everything is spotless clean. The location is amazing as well, everything is around the corner.

This hostel was nice. The beds were really comfortable and everything was clean. The common area was good and the staff were really friendly. We also liked the kitchen, it was spacious and had everything you needed.

Enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Room came with a comfortable bed and had shelving to put my things. Big shower with hot water. A rather simple hostel in terms of facilities, but had a nice common area and drinks, etc are available for purchase. The owners were very knowledgeable about buses, activities etc although I did none as I suffered from the worst case of food poisoning in my life while there (they were supportive of me during it). Everything kept very clean. Neighborhood is safe and close to the central square. A bit limited neighborhood if you like to not always eat Colombian food (the opposite side of the square offers more options) although I highly recommend Terramonti House around the corner for gourmet international cuisine at reasonable prices. Wifi was lightning fast though it did not always get along with my Chromebook Internet card (not their fault),
