We had an amazing time at Posada Madre Tierra, and would recommend anyone to stay here. We speak very little Spanish but Carlos and Teresa were incredibly kind and generous and made us feel part of the family. The homemade food and juices were simply incredible, we left with full hearts and stomachs! All of the pets were very cute too, it was so wonderful to experience a home that truly cared about their natural environment around them and learn about the history and surroundings. Staying here was a true highlight of our South America trip.

Thank you to the Humpback Turtle! Beautiful property and beautiful people. I ate breakfast lunch and dinner in the kitchen and all three meals were incredible. Staff was very knowledgeable about tours and overall very helpful and fun to be around. Great vibes, hoping to visit again soon!

We enjoyed our stay in Amar-illa a lot! It’s super close to the beach and to the village. There is a nice garden around which makes it a quiet and pleasant place to relax. The kitchen is well equipped and nice to cook in. We also got a lot of help in organising trips to the jungle and to snorkel beaches. If you’re visiting El Valle it’s just a perfect place to stay.

This is a great place to relax. Quiet and peaceful. The wooden cottages are simple but nicely planned and with comfortable beds and mosquito nets. In addition: + Great staff and owner + Very tasty food and diet tailored to individual needs + Proximity to the ocean + Great value for money I read in other reviews that some guests received a higher bill than they expected. I paid exactly what I was supposed to. I just had to explain that my breakfast was included in the price.

I always like to make a challenge of finding the most desolate and undisturbed places on the planet, and Los Longos fits easily in my personal top 5. It doesn’t get more off the grid and ocean front than this. Complete disconnection with everything and reconnection with your deepest self. The hosts are accommodating in every sense and their cat is the pinnacle of tranquility, in which I took a great example to mostly do the same.
