The host was incredibly polite and friendly. He patiently answered all of my questions. The bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen were all spotlessly clean. The kitchen supplies exceeded my expectations, with spices, teas, coffees, a coffee machine, numerous pots, wine glasses, and plates. You can cook any type of meal you desire. At the same time, there are multiple supermarkets within a 5-minute walking distance. The street was very quiet at night. Despite being an old building, we slept very comfortably at night. Moreover, you can reach the city center in just 5 minutes by tram number 3. It's a fantastic place to stay in Basel. Additionally, the internet worked very well. PS: You can let your bags earlier than check-in time. This flexibility is very important when traveling with backpacks. Thank you for everything.

The hotel is set n a former monastery, and one can feel the atmosphere of tranquility and peace. Everything was clean. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet. I liked the rural location, but close to public transport, free parking and a restaurant on the site. The staff was nice too. The room overlooked the nice garden. I will return

The Ambrosia Guesthouse completely exceeded my expectations! Check-in with co-owner Anthony was quick and friendly, with great tips for visiting the beautiful medieval town of Rheinfelden. The room is attractively decorated with many little unexpected extras, such as bedside charging stations with multiple ports and high quality toiletries (soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner). The room was clean and comfortable, with blinds and dark curtains for a good sleep. The location is excellent, being only 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes walk to the old town. The neighbourhood is quiet, clean and safe. In the morning we enjoyed a lovely fresh breakfast, much of which is homemade by the charming Nathalie and Anthony. The breakfast area is bright and charming, with many lovely little treats and unlimited coffee! We will definitely return again next year when visiting Art Basel, which is easily reached by train and tram from this location.
