A special, family-run hotel. Great atmosphere and exceptional staff. We stayed with dinner and breakfast and they were wonderful, thoughtful and varied. The rooms are charming with balconies and huge windows. It is clear that every detail has been thought of. The staff was welcoming and helpful with everything needed.

Gintherhof epitomises genuine guest house hospitality in a way that no hotel, however smart or expensive, can possibly match. From exquisite antique linens to highest quality down duvets, to the provision of hiking rucksacks to borrow, the thought and care by Annelies and her parents was heartwarming. The farmhouse is full of charm and interesting artefacts at every turn, the pine panelled bedrooms so cosy and inviting. Breakfast was off the scale - in addition to fresh fruits, nuts, cereals and yoghurts, there was a vast selection of homemade breads and jams, with cheeses, hams, local eggs and other savoury delights. We were even given bags and encouraged to make a packed lunch for ourselves! We left feeling restored and grateful for such kindness and friendship. What a welcome we will never forget.

We arrived and our hostess found us outside and greeted us right away – she spoke fluent English. She immediately provided us with a map, gave us information about the surroundings that we were planing to go see, and showed us to a beautiful room. It was fully equipped with shampoo, towels, hairdryer... everything was lovely, and there was even a balcony with a view of the mountains. The bed was incredibly comfortable – after a long hike, it felt like pure luxury. In the morning, our hostess welcomed us downstairs with coffee + tea and eggs made as wanted. There was fresh bread, ham, cheese, butter, nutela, jam... nothing was missing. It’s rare to find this level of comfort in the mountains for such a reasonable price, and with such a wonderful hostess. Thank you very much for the stay it was amazing. Klára

The hotel is in excellent location. It was possible for late checkin. There is EV charging option available or a payment. Morning breakfast was very good. It is a great spot for skiing vacation and many great scenic spots nearby.
