The room was spacious and clean. The room had a balcony, which I couldn't really enjoy because of the rain. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide selection. For dinner, I recommend the nearby restaurant "Schafflinger Alm" (be sure to book a table in advance). Convenient to move to various hiking trails or enjoy the promenade along the river near the hotel.

Alpenpension Gastein enjoys a quiet location 2 km from the centre of Bad Gastein and a 3-minute walk from the Gastein Golf Course. All rooms have a balcony, some of them offer mountain view.

Cannot recommend this property highly enough: the rooms were beautifully appointed with soft cosy linens, comfortable beds and balconies overlooking the snowy hills; the bathrooms were gorgeous; the restaurant downstairs served delicious Austrian cuisine; and the staff were all so friendly and helpful with local recommendations. If you want to ski, the lift is literally over the road and the ski hire place is directly downstairs with space for guests to leave ski gear overnight. Anna and her team did everything possible to make our Christmas holiday in Bad Hofgastein perfect, including leaving us Christmas presents in our room on Christmas Eve, much to our children’s delight… will definitely stay here again!
