We can only recommend this stay and would come back in a heartbeat. The room and facilities were great and the garden is gorgeous. The hosts were very friendly and eager to help. They even accomodated secure storage beyond checkout time for my mother's luggage who had a broken collarbone.

But despite some intentional remnants in the building, the rooms have been modernized by a designer with excellent style and taste. No indication that the room was any older than a few years! We had a room with a small kitchen and courtyard view, but it was spacious and very quiet - couldn't even hear any noise from the restaurant right below. Murten is a charming medieval town that is worth stopping in for a night when the tourists are gone and the atmosphere is special.
