The peace and quiet was lovely. Slightly out of town but the ammenities at the hotel made up for it plus the shuttle which would pick you up on request was fantastic.

L’Oasis is a 5-minute walk from Evian-les-Bains town centre, the thermal baths and Lake Geneva. It sits in a garden with a terrace and offers a sauna and a seasonal outdoor pool.

Exceptionally clean. The quality of the breakfast food was excellent and mainly local produce. The swimming pool was a bonus .

The hotel felt very luxurious like a 5-star resort. We stayed in room 1320 in a suite with a large balcony overlooking the lake. Room was spacious, AC was strong, the pillows were comfortable. The indoor swimming pool is children-free from 12-4pm which I found reasonable, as it’s opened early until late at night which worked well for my family of 4. There’s plenty of activities offered in the hotel such as tennis, paddle board, gym, pool table, swimming, e-bikes, jacuzzi, hammam, sauna and kids club, all free of charge for hotel guests. I loved how even after we checked out of the hotel, we were still able to use the facilities that day which is a definite plus. The navette was reliable and would drop us off into town centre and pick us up from the casino free of charge. There is a horseback riding school located 2 mins drive away which was great for kids to do private lessons. Would definitely return!

Excellent and beautiful place, very clean with A/C. Free shuttle service to the lake and restaurants was a great bonus.

We loved the owner’s warm welcome, he even offered to drive us to a nearby hiking path as we were by foot crossing the Alps with GR5. Breathtaking view in the valley due to the position up in the mountain. The pool was soooo fantastic after a long day of walk, the rooms spacious, bright and warm. Food was delicious, homemade with local products. Careful as they’re not cooking every day! Loved it!

Chalet-Hôtel Macchi is located in Châtel, in the ski area of Porte du Soleil. It offers rooms with balconies that overlook the mountains of the Abondance Valley and a spa.
