Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

She gives you the information you won’t find in any website or guide. Thanks to her, we were able to experience Maui in a truly authentic and unforgettable way.

Tony is a very friendly host and provided everything we needed for this wonderful trip! This included useful tips as well as additional gear which made the trip even more memorable. We would definitely recommend renting a car from Tony! We loved his kindness.

Roadtrip Camping on Maui is a recently renovated luxury tent in Kahului, where guests can make the most of its spa and wellness centre and garden. The property has sea and mountain views, and is 1.8 km from Kanaha Beach Park. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. This was a magical experience. The SUV had everything you need to travel and camp. Towels, bug spray, chairs etc. Shawn was super cool and answered all our questions and had everything organized and immaculate for us to head out on are excursion. Definitely recommend this company!
