A recently renovated campground located in Bidiyah, Al Salam Desert Camp Bidiya features a shared lounge. Featuring full-day security, this property also welcomes guests with a restaurant and a sun terrace. The campground also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Access was easy: we were not driving 4 wheel cars and we did not have any problem in arriving to the camp. The camp is very well organised. The dunes behind are extremely convenient as they are just closeby. Tents are impressive, the bed was very confortable. The individual bathroom very convenient, excellent to see the stars while having shower. Staff is very friendly and helpfull, Sohel very nice. We enjoyed several of the proposed activities. We had the opportunity to enjoy different omani meals at the dinner, breakfast was also very good.

He is a fantastic man, so kind, funn and helpfull. We had great conversations and funn with him. Can highly recommend staying in his camp.

We really enjoyed the ride there and the visits to the animals, the tour through the desert in the morning and the kids loved the short camel ride. Stars, sand and serenity. Lovely guide.

Located 50 km from Wadi Bin Khalid, SAFARI-Glamping offers accommodation in Bidiyah-20 kms inside the desert from the village Al Hawaiyah. SAFARI-Glamping offers two private tents and 2 huts between the dunes in Sharqiyah sands. Clear directions Desert driving (we made it without issues with Toyota RAV 4, 4wd) The place it self - we were lucky to be alone; the host was very kind; we were given a plenty of delicious meals, unlimited water and other drinks; everything was clean and comfortable. You can play darts at the luxury tent. Alsarmadi Desert Camp has a children's playground and a picnic area. The Alsarmadi Desert Camp is an amazing experience. Our hosts picked us up in the nearby township of Bidiya, and it was only a short 30min drive out to the camp. You are surrounded by sand dunes, but high up enough to enjoy a beautiful sunset/sunrise. The hosts are very welcoming and can organise several activities during your stay in the desert. Some incur extra costs, like camel rides & lunch at a Bedouin camp. Or you can simply enjoy exploring the dunes, like we did. The tents are clean & comfortable, it was the best sleep of our whole trip! And as female travellers we felt safe the whole time. Breakfast & dinner were also delicious. Thank you to Said & his son Alfarooq for a wonderful experience in the desert!
