Magical place. The host, Sami, does his utmost best to take care of you. The included activities are really nice. We could feel that they love what they do. Also the food prepared by Sami was delicious. A really magical place in the middle of nature. A must go if you wanna stay near Udawalawe.

A beautiful place set in a stunning setting, simple rooms but everything you need. I loved floating in the river watching the birds and sitting by the river listening to the birds. Also the breakfast and dinner were really great. We saw a lot of animals at the safari park. The hotel driver Janaka is a very knowledgeable guide. Although many jeeps were speeding, the driver Janaka managed to get out of the way and go deep into the jungle to see the animals freely. They were very good at providing a perfect safari with perfect service.

Really enjoyed our too short stay here. It is a bit off the beaten track but the nature and the scenery make up for it. Our morning safari was awe inspiring. The tents are comfortable, the food excellent and the staff could not care for you any better.

Great idea with great realisation!! It has nice reception area, two zones of camps and houses with swimming pools for each, big children playground, nice restaurant and close location to the national park. We stayed in deluxe camp which was not new but clean and comfortable! Every morning they come to clean and refill tea/coffee/water savings. They have arranged safari tour for us, the guide was very nice and the price was very reasonable. We liked everything.

Athgira River Camp is located at the door step of Udawalawe National Park with views of Rakwana River. It’s very close to Udawalawe reservoir and to the Elephant Orphanage.

The athgira was a beautiful centre to go from out safari from. The staff were so extraordinar y kind and attentive. We had got engaged 2 days before and they had arranged a suprise afternoon tea gardens followed by an exclusive rose petal and candle filled engagement dinner. We love how much of a team they are and got to know them all. Special thanks to chalani, kithamini, Chanuka, kansaka and hinusha. Couldn't recommend more

I recently had the most unforgettable experience at Belihuloya Adventure Camp! Tucked away in the lush highlands of Sri Lanka, this camp is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The activities offered are top-notch, from adrenaline-pumping canoeing, and trekking, to the more relaxed nature trails. The highlight for me was the canoeing. Activity expert Hemantha is highly experienced and ensured safety at every turn, which made the adventure all the more enjoyable. Accommodation at the campsite was comfortable, offering a true "back-to-nature" experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Their passion for the outdoors and commitment to providing a memorable experience really stood out. The food was another highlight – delicious and hearty, perfect after a long day of activities. We were treated to local cuisine with fresh ingredients that really hit the spot.
