We had such a great time with Samitha. We stayed one night and didi a short canoe trip in the afternoon and had a lovely and romantic dinner with a campfire at night, we did a really lovely walk through the surroundings afterwards, and Samitha explained a lot of of plants to us. The tent is very nice, even with its own bathroom and shower. It was wonderful to fall asleep with the sounds of nature around. We highly recommend this Safari Camp!

Asanka is a great guy. He arranged everything for us. The safari trip with Janaka, the amazing tour guide, was incredible, the dinner at the cottage was very good, very comfortable and cool. Amazing structure. Don't miss the opportunity to visit him and his wife.

We had a truly unforgettable stay, thanks to the breathtaking Mango Safari Camping and the outstanding dedication of the team. We spent one night at the charming and peaceful campsite and were warmly welcomed. We went to the Elephant Transit Home which was an unforgettable moment in our life where many baby elephants are bottle-fed by humans. The actions and demonstrations done by baby elephants were amazing and somewhat similar to human babies, which was funny to see. We were treated to a traditional Sri Lankan dinner by the bonfire – the food was very delicious. In the morning, we enjoyed a jeep safari in the Udawalawe National Park, we could see ample of elephants feeding on grass, deer, water buffalo, and birdlife of the area and the scenery was simply stunning.

A beautiful place to stay in Udawalawe; very serene, clean and comfortable. Service was really lovely. Food at the restaurant was great. And pretty strong and stable wifi from my room, which is excellent for remote working.

It was a lovely place with a restaurant available, so we did not need to worry about breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In Udawallawe is not possible to go outside for a walk as roads are dark and cars drive fast, so it was nice that Kottawatta Village can provide common areas including a pool so you can enjoy your short stay. And they arranged the safari.

Athgira River Camp is located at the door step of Udawalawe National Park with views of Rakwana River. It’s very close to Udawalawe reservoir and to the Elephant Orphanage.

The athgira was a beautiful centre to go from out safari from. The staff were so extraordinar y kind and attentive. We had got engaged 2 days before and they had arranged a suprise afternoon tea gardens followed by an exclusive rose petal and candle filled engagement dinner. We love how much of a team they are and got to know them all. Special thanks to chalani, kithamini, Chanuka, kansaka and hinusha. Couldn't recommend more

Hemantha & Lalith were just great hosts! They have really looked after me and were making sure I have a comfortable stay. As a solo female traveller I felt really safe and they were a great company as well. The location is great (out of town), quiet and relaxing, I have spotted monkeys and squirells roaming around, lot of birds. The facilities were clean, the tent as well. Make sure you do kayak in the afternoon for sunset it is just beautiful and worth the money! Mr. Lasantha, the manager has also made sure I have everything I need and arranged my dinner delivery to the camp, highly appreciated! Only the pillows and towels need some refreshing.
