Staff very friendly and helpful. Safari. We chose the 12 hour with Sanduku who was brilliant driver/ guide. Very good English with an excellent eye for nature spotting (4inch chameleons in bushes whilst driving). Excellent viewing of elephant groups, birds, reptiles and particularly a musking male who was huge and very close! The roads are very bumpy so expect to be bounced around. Jeep was pretty comfortable so not too bad after 11 hours.

The staff were fantastic and always ready to help answer any questions including “what bird is that” x 20. The staff were patient and knowledgeable and they made my experience amazing!!

This is one of the best locations I’ve visited so far. Situated in a very remote area where there’s limited access to outer world. You have to take a basic nature trail to reach the destination which my family enjoyed much. once you entered the premises it’s like you stepped into another country. Very calm and peaceful environment so we need to adopt to the destination. I recommend this place to all nature lovers who look for places where you can blend with nature. Limited electricity so prepare yourself with backups. (power banks, flashlights, ect)

The location is super close to the safari park and they even offer safaris on the spot, we had an amazing morning with our guide Chante/Shante! Also the pool is perfect to chill in the afternoon and they have a delicious restaurant directly at the hotel. Super recommended and amazing for the price !

We watched a family of monkeys playing in the trees from one of the two swimming pools. The whole atmosphere is just really calm and peaceful. 10/10 would stay here again.

Athgira River Camping offers a great outdoor dining experience as well as a barbecue dinner and cooking demonstrations. Real wild cocktails and a nice wine selection are available as well. The staff took care of us like a 5 star hotel would do. They organized a safari on the day and transport the next day for us. I was impressed by the quality of their services.
