Did the full day we saw 2 leopards, and every other animal except for elephants.

The staff and service was what stands out the most, they do their best to ensure you are always safe and clean. It's on the expensive side but what you are paying for is the extensive knowledge of the guide on the safari which is missing in other places. We have both learnt a lot about different animals and behaviours on this safari and it's an experience that will stay with us forever

With lake views, Nirvaan Safari Lodge is situated in Wilpattu and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, terrace and barbecue. Nirvaan is a wonderful lodge in the middle of nature and very close to Wilpattu national park. We were lucky to be around when Ranil, the owner, was there. Ranil is a respected conservation biologist and a wealth of knowledge about flora and fauna in Wilpattu and in Sri Lanka at large. He arranges safaris with good naturalists and drivers. His trips may be a bit more costly than what other providers will offer you, but you get a better jeep where you can interact with the guide and driver while you drive. We saw lots of wildlife even though we did not see the big ones- elephants and leopards. Ranil runs an organisation that aims to protect wildlife in cooperation with local people. He was so kind to take us to see one of the projects nearby. We admire the work he does. We highly recommend this lodge.

Situated in Achchamulai, Wilpattu Green Cabin features accommodation with seating area. The property has lake and river views. There is a picnic area and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. The location was beautiful, really close to Wilpattu and the staff were really friendly and helpful!

For the meals only option, safaris could be arranged with the camp directly, at an additional cost to be paid directly to the property. Great location close to the park. The staff were wonderful m, and so was the food.

Beautiful whimsical details with a rustic tropical beach vibe, and extremely helpful and attentive staff. In house chef cooking made to order delicious Sri Lankan dishes. Just the place to get away from it all. We ended our 2 week trip here and it was the perfect R&R. Spent our last day on the water with the Dolphins.
