The host family was absolutely lovely and we had a great time staying with them.

Complete with a private bathroom fitted with a bidet and free toiletries, the rooms at Pinthaliya Resort have a TV and air conditioning, and some rooms include a balcony. The location was great for trips to Dambulla, and Sigiriya, and Minneriya national park. It was very spread out and it felt like no one was staying there. There were 2 pools, one was very refreshing and the main one got a little warm, bot h were very clean. The bathrooms were dated but fine, there was hot water. We had 3 rooms and 1 of the rooms had a fridge. The staff were friendly and mostly spoke pretty good english. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool and really enjoyed it and the monkeys that would come and say hi.
