I highly recommend the Grand Verde Resort!!! You won’t regret it

This is a really special experience. The tents are up a winding road and look out to the valley. The meals provided are in a cook-your-own style so you can BBQ while chatting with friends or family. We went during the winter and ended up being the only ones staying there that night and it was really special, quiet and dark. The outdoor private onsen experience was also great for the family as we were able to all get in. We weren't able to see stars at night, but it snowed heavily during the night and the kids could build snowmen and have a snowball fight in the morning.

Tomitaka San is a really friendly and gracious host and made us feel really welcome! All the structures were very beautifully designed and exudes a lot of charm. Although weather was cold, the heating was very good and we felt very comfortable throughout. Dinner and breakfast were simply delicious!

The host was so friendly and helped us book a taxi whenever we needed. The room was so clean and traditional atmosphere but has everything for a modern life. Onsen was great and well-maintained. It even has a kitchen and laundry machine useful for families. Everything was sparkling clean. We also enjoyed the separate bar where you can make your own cocktails.
