We had the most wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for by Mark and Marjerie, they are incredible hosts. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. We even got to see girafs and antelopes while having our morning coffe in the back yard. But the real highlight was the food! They oragized a barii for us, and tought of every detail so that we could taste the most tradicional dishes in the área. Every meal was a delicious treat. We can't wait to return and experience this again!

This location is the perfect couples getaway. All of the rooms are at least 40 meters apart and boast some magnificient views of the Zuurberg mountains. Dinner and drinks prices were more than acceptable and Camp Figtree was the highlight of my month long stay in South Africa. Staff were amazing too and we especially enjoyed our interactions with Siya and Mzi.

Gorah Elephant Camp is situated in the malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park. It features a spacious swimming pool and an open patio offering views of the water hole. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Beautiful safari in a lovely old colonial lodge. Lovely setting and excellent staff. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location very close to the southern gate of the Addo Elephant Reserve. Large, vey comfortable tent with a roll top bath. Friendly staff. Large gardens with antelope and other wildlife surrounding the accommodation. Good breakfast and evening meals available. Swimming Pool

The property is amazing, really spacious, cleaned everyday to a high standard. It has an amazing outdoor area with a Braai which we enjoyed using. It’s a great base location to visit Addo Elephant park which is an hour away. The lodge is secluded and you feel totally immersed in the beautiful surroundings, we walked in the mornings, saw lots of animals especially at night on the way back to the lodge. Safari’s are also available but we did these in Amakhala so just relaxed in the afternoons. There are a few nice restaurants in the local town if you want to eat out, if not the local spar is good. Thanks so much to Sonya and Frik for making us feel so welcome.
