The owners were lovely and very chatty. Had a nice talk over breakfast. The bubble was a new experience that I've never had before. It was nice to fall asleep to the stars. Still a bit to early in the season to try out the pool but I put my feet in and it looks lovely. It's a bit out of the way but only €20 taxi from setubal. Nice area around to explore. Good breakfast with lots of options.

Rita saved us from disaster! We had booked another hotel which SAID they took dogs, until we arrived. They would not refund! Had to find accoms nearby. What a pleasant surprise! The Falcoaria's rooms are like mountain cabins, completely furnished for self-catering. Rita has thought of everything, and we were very comfortable, as was our little dog. Fascinating to tour the bird sanctuary as well. Owls! Pigeons! Hawks! Falcons! So beautiful. Had we known about this place, we would have stayed longer and chosen it first.

The landscape is mesmerizing, and the restaurant opens up to that picturesque delight. The dinner is elegant and so tasty, serving something also for vegan. The beds are comfy, not too soft, and the room is spacy and in style of the old mansion, well kept and clean. Took a horseback ride in the vineyard olives and cork trees, made my heart light and in joy.
