Glamping Sites in Sauraha

The hotel is right on the river and you can see rhinos and crocodiles right from the terrace, and or when walking along the river bank. The restaurant was good and I was well looked after by Sitaram who serves guests and was very helpful in arranging early breakfasts. The hotel organises safaris and other activities in Chitwan National Park, which is across the river. I did a morning canoe ride followed by a jungle walk, then a full day safari. I had a great experience with both, and had the same guide who was really keen to help us see wildlife. It's much better to do the full day safari which leaves early in the morning. You can split the cost with other guests from the hotel. (It can be cold, especially with the breeze from the open jeep, so dress warmly.) We saw loads of rhinos, including mothers and babies, but it was all in the first half of the day. They took us to the best spots to view the animals, based on information shared among the guides. For the half-day keep safaris that leave in the afternoon, you're out in the heat of the day, and everyone seems to come back disappointed. The hotel is also just a 5-10 minute walk to the town, though there's not a lot to do or see there. The jungle is the main attraction.

Super clean & super spacious rooms with beautiful garden view. Staffs were welcoming & helpful throughout. Would definitely recommend it.

Although we were in the middle of a town it felt like we were in the jungle. It has a nice pool and restaurant. The best thing about the property was the staff as they make or break a hotel. They also book the safaris for you and have their own guide. It is close to lots of restaurants so there was a good opportunity try lots of different foods. We were traveling with 2 disabled wheelchair users and the hotel tailored made safaris so they did not miss out on activities.
