Glamping Sites in Tissamaharama

We have just had the most amazing 2 night stay at yala wild Beach huts. The owner and the team are lovely. The tents/huts are new and super comfy beds in a really quite unspoilt location. Very close to the entrance to yala national park. The food has been amazing with endless amounts of it too much food for us to eat you will never go hungry. We were offered tea and coffee and bottles of water all the time and when we went to yala and the temple tour we were given fruit, coffee, biscuits and chocolate milk for the kids. We opted to stay for 2 nights and we were glad we did as it gave us time to go on a second jeep trip to the temples and see more elephants outside the national park. Along with crocodiles and monkeys. Our driver was great and really enjoyed all the trips even going for a last minute beach trip and over the sand dunes. He went out of his way to try and find lepards for us. Roy our guide was incredible a great character who clearly loves his job and nature and his knowledge of sri lankan history is brilliant and very enjoyable to listen to. Along with morning nature walk around the camp We all agreed that this has been our favourite place in Sri Lanka on our trip and I would highly recommend a 2 night visit or longer if you have time. Going to sleep and Walking up to the sound of the birds an nature was amazing. The owner has great plans for the future of yala wild huts and its alread great and will only improve furter there is an obvious passion and love for the area and nature and to give guests an amazing experience Thanks again for an amazing experience we could not be happier and will recommend to anyone we know who is travelling to sri lanka

We stayed at the new Villa. That was perfect for family since it’s huge two story villa and has a private pool. Initially I was bit nervous because there were almost no information about this villa. But we recognized that’s because this facility opened in the end of this month (Dec. 2024). Once my family arrived at this villa, we were immediately fascinated by this villa and great hospitality of the staff. I can recommend this although the gramping camp sites should be also good. In addition, location is good. We can enjoy game safaris for both Yala National Park and Udawalawe National Park since it’s located between both national parks. Finally, I was very satisfied with the email communication with Ms. Sonali Lowe (Manager - Sales & Reservations) prior to our stay, as it was both prompt and precise.

One of the most affordable accom to experience tent stay and glamping. Comes with private bathroom too. Owner and staff are very particular to ensure that we are satisfied with our stay, BBQ dinner under the stars can be added on to our stay which was a good experience.

I liked the jungle location and the vicinity to Yala park. I appreciated the accomodating staff.

Such a peaceful, beautiful setting and the accomodation and food was superb for a camp setting, 5 star dining under the trees and stars. Staff were delightful and so happy to assist with anything and their knowledge of the area and its flora & fauna were exceptional. Highly recommend!!

Grate place with grate servixe and grate people. I can recommend this place to anybody ho likes this kind of accomodation.

Amazing stay in the tree hut in the middle of nowhere. It is very basic but comfortable. Dont go here if you want a 5 star hotel. If you want to experience nature in a comfortable tree hut, this is for you. Great BBQ dinner was provided. Caters for vegetarian also. Did a wildlife experience from here with the owner. He goes out of his way on this tour. Avoids the hundreds of other vehicles to give you an awesome experience. A must do.

We had an excellent stay at Wild Trails Yala. It surpassed all what we expected at a camp deep in the jungle. The guided safari with Yohan the camp manager/ranger was excellent. The tent were very spacious and clean and the local cuisine was excellent.
