A rare rural retreat from the hassle of being a tourist! The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive, the food was excellent and plentiful,, quiet and close to the forest and the creek. Basic but all you need to relax and be with nature. I loved the evening fires and the roof top views. A motorbike was on hand for any trips you may want, such as to see the local elephants have an evening drink.

Some of the best food I've eaten in Kenya so far, our room had an amazing view and didn't disappoint at all. The swimming pool was amazing and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The view of the moon rising while we were eating dinner was one of the best things I've ever witnessed. I'd recommend this to anybody in the area, it's paradise!

We stayed in the tents. Loved the feeling of being in our own little forest with monkeys and birds all around. Open air shower is so refreshing. Not a far walk to the most amazing beach. Think its a brilliant idea with different kinds of accommodations available for different budgets and preferences. The Snackbar was wonderful. Stanley and his team really makes amazing food.

He ensured everything about our stay was as best as can be, from the amazing local food to organising canoe trips. The staff are what make this accommodation shine, the facilities and surroundings make you feel at peace with nature. WiFi, coldrinks and service was perfect for what we needed. Thank you very much to Freddy and staff for the lovely introduction to Kenya and Mida Creek.

Fabulous breakfast and cleaning service. Opportunity for friends to rent another apartment and then eat with us. Perfect for quiet families and romantic couples. We want to come back with others.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. I highly recommend the full back. legs and feet massage offered at the hotel- I felt fantastic afterwards. It is an Egyptian style massage - with two therapists working in tandem. Also the head therapist - who is a physiotherapist - also provided me a short but very effective neck massage that took away the pain in my shoulders and neck. Happy hour cocktails at the hotel bar with great views of the beach and ocean was wonderful.

The apartment was very clean. It's white in colour and it's clear to see the work done on cleanliness. The rooms are spacious and bed is quite big to fit 2 adults completely with good air conditioning. The property in a serene private location, just near the beach. We appreciated the flexibility for early and late check ins. All our request for items not available was done in a timely manner. We will definitely visit the place again.

Our stay at Mida Creek hotel offered a serene escape. Hotel's location provided a peaceful ambiance ideal for relaxation. There was the option to use a boat for transport to the opposite shore, adding a touch of adventure. Hotel's intimate atmosphere and personalized service made for a cozy retreat. The amenities, from comfortable rooms to scenic waterfront views, were thoughtfully designed for our comfort and enjoyment. The attentive and professional staff further elevated our experience. It would be 10/10 but...

The accommodations were pristine, offering ample space and a luxurious bed fit for royalty. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. Our taste buds were tantalized by the delectable meals, with the tangy tamarind juice and succulent pork chops quickly becoming our favourites. And let's not forget the delightful English breakfasts enjoyed each morning against the backdrop of a breathtaking sea view. I'm definitely coming back.

What a fantastic find. A home away from home atmosphere and couldn’t fault. Friendly staff who were so accommodating. Everyone knows your name and its like being part of the family. Delicious food and cocktails… cool vibe, and a chilled place to relax. Nothing is too much trouble. Air conditioning and WiFi. Sun loungers are great and beds are so comfy. A masseur is on standby if needed and she’s brilliant. Will definitely be back. Thanks to everyone at Mvuvi Lodge 😃😃
