Everything about this resort is luxurious, but at the same time feels like home. The pool is magical. The staff were so welcoming from the moment we arrived and couldn’t to more to help us and make us feel at home. There were lots of little added touches that made this resort very special. Everything was exceptional. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights in the Lombong house (traditional rice barn). We were lucky to have the pool to ourselves, usually shared with 3 houses. During the hot days, staff brought us pitchers of water with fruit. The design of the lombong house was beautifully done, with open air seating area downstairs, a partially open air bathroom; and very comfortable and clean bedroom upstairs. The staff were exceptional and friendly. After our hike to Mt Batur, dinner was served to us in the seating area of the lombong house. Food was excellent and there is a beautiful yoga/exercise stage overlooking the terrace. This was a wonderful luxury yet home-like stay. Surrounded by greenery and nature. Slightly off the beaten track, but still closely situated to Ubud center and other attractions. Would highly recommend!

Our stay at Uma Buug was the highlight of our latest trip to Bali. We loved staying in the traditional,thatch roof hut, surrounded by rice paddies and the beautiful backdrop of Mt Agung. Our lovely host organized an amazing 4 hour hike through the rice paddies, jungle and village, meeting lots of local people on the way. Our hut had beautiful, fresh white sheets and the shared bathroom was modern and beautifully clean. The breakfast prepared for us was lovely and freshly made and we look forward to staying at Uma Buug again.

Hotel was just amazing. Spa was just magical, food for breakfast and dinner was excellent. Generally it exceeded our expectation. For every our need crew of the hotel was reacting very fast. Especially Reno. If I knew what how good is this hotel I would cancel all other bookings in Bali and just stay with them.
