Flora Glamping de Abuela was an amazing experience! It's a local family owned business. We stayed there for 4 nights, and even before we got there we contacted the host: Evi, who helped us a lot with planning our stay at La Fortuna and book some attractions. The place has an amazing location! Just outside the city but 5 minutes drive so you can enjoy the quiet and the perfect view of the Arenal volcano and still feel close to the city. Evi was available for us at all times with every question or help we needed. The room was spacious and clean but take into account that the toilet and shower are in the same space as the rest of the room. However with only 2 glamping tents you can really feel the privacy. The shared kitchen was well equipped with all the things we needed, and was designed optimistically.

As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed by two verry friendly employies. We were shown around the area, wich was super modern and verry clean. Because they don‘t serve lunch and dinner, they were open to help us to order some food. Anytime we needed help, they were verry kind. The breakfast was a buffet, wich was verry delicious. Every morning they made fresh eggs, pancakes,… Looking back, it was one of our favorite spots in costa rica.

Exeptional location. The little house was in a private property next to the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges and close to Volcan Arenal National Park. On site there is a frog sanctuary with red eyed tree frogs, the view from the private little hanging bridge to the volcano is beautiful. Coatis, capucin and howler monkeys were just before our door. Hummingbirs were flying around the flowers. We saw here more animals than in the Mistico Park. Loved our little house, it was well equiped, bed was comfortable, good quality toiletries were provided. Welcome smootie was delicious. The owner and the workers were very friendly, and helpful. It was a memorable stay. They provided dehumidifier in the house against the high humidity. The whole area was very safe.

The location is amazing, you have access to a beautiful rainforest on the property and the volcano views are unbeatable. We stayed in a room, which was simple but very comfortable. We had shared bathroom and shower, they were very clean and the shower has hot water which is lovely in the fresh mountain evenings. The restaurant on the property serves delicious vegan/vegetarian food all day. To be noted that it's not close to La Fortuna, it's about a 30 minutes drive out, so it's best to have a car. It's one of the things we personally loved. We did the night walk with Aurelio and it's been the highlight of our trip so far! He is so knowledgeable and very interesting, everyone should do it!

Javier, Roger and the team were brilliant. They went out of their way to make us feel very special - it was my boyfriend's birthday and they decorated the room to help me surprise him. The tent is spacious, the bed comfortable and humongous and everything you need to make a quick meal if needed. You are surrounded by the forest and you fall asleep to the sound of the forest, wind and rain. We didn't see any animals except a couple of spiders but you hear the birds in trees the moment the sun goes up.
