Rafael was an excellent host. The cabana on his property is entirely built from recycled materials and has a lot of character. He was extremely attentive, responsive, and friendly, and we joined his family for some Christmas celebrations down the hill. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed watching birds while eating breakfast on the balcony each morning (Andean Motmots, Tropical Screech Owls, and countless species of tanagers). Easy access to Otun Quimbaya. Others have noted that there was no hot water, but the shower works fine, it just requires a little finesse.

The location is wonderful, it is in a well-kept environment, the rooms are exceptionally cozy, the bed is comfortable. The hosts are very kind, in the evening they lit a fire for us at the campfire site, where we had a very pleasant conversation with the tourists staying there. I definitely recommend it

We had an amazing time at Monte Tierra, the incredible hospitality of the hosts made us feel more than at home every day! We cannot thank Luisa and Alvaro enough! The place is located in a very quiet area in the middle of nature surrounded by beautiful landscapes, the pods are very comfortable as well as the bed too, the location is great (walking distance from Filandia). It also includes exciting activities in the lodging ! We highly suggest this place for a great stay in Filandia or region!
