We chose La Mansión del Rio because it is situated right in the heart of town on the River Walk and it looked good on the booking website. Everything positive we read is thoroughly justified, and that includes the staff in particular. Many places to sit out and inside. The little lights, trees and plants between them: it was such a relief after te Hilton South Padre yesterday. Same price, 100 times better. Also a charming short walk to the river walk where one finds such a charming city Center and many restaurants. Nice staff, all smiles and pulling maps ; great. The room is big, original lay out, and the pool is great.

It was ok. the hotel is fairly in good maintenance and has a lot of utilities. the prices are sometimes a bit high but considering Austin it was more than ok. parked on the street for free. not walkable.
