The rooms are lovely and comfortable, you get a free minibar, breakfast is amazing and the staff is super friendly and helpful. For me it has a great location, close to restaurants, shops and cafes. And the main shopping street is just 10min away. I will always pick Hotell Astoria when I'm in Genoa!

We've checked out very early (before breakfast) and the person in the reception offered us to give us coffee and snacks to go, which was super sweet.

Each includes a flat-screen TV with satellite and pay-per-view channels, and a private bathroom with toiletries. What an exceptional hotel! The staff were the kindest most generous people, who went out of their way to accommodate us, including arranging an express laundry service (back the same day, perfectly folded!), a service car to drop us at the train station from the hotel (and also offered us pick up from the station upon our arrival), bringing warmed milk to our room for a cup of tea, and had endless local tips on restaurants, the best way to get to the Cinque Terre and best kept secrets to see. The hotel itself was immaculate, clean, and quite, with an astounding rooftop sun deck and bar. The staff gave us the best room in the hotel, which was an apparent free upgrade, the top middle room with a double balcony. We couldn’t imagine a better stay, we just wished we booked for longer.
