The property was exceptional and the location was beautiful. The hotel with traditional architectural features and well maintained. The staff were homely and friendly. The food served was truly delicious. They even provided us with a complimentary travel snack box to have as we continued our travel. This is what a true Sri Lanka hospitality is all about and I’m happy to experience this lovely hotel.

After having left noisy Kandy and traffic behind, this place was a haven of peace. The lack of noise was what hit me first. Staff were helpful and welcoming. The views were stunning. Hanthana mountain is in front at the other side of a deep valley and the Knuckles Range to the right. Crickets were chirping when I went to sleep, and I woke up to a chorus of birds. All in all, I came back in a better mindset that I went in with.

what an amazing property. we were thoroughly looked after and nothing was too much trouble. the food was exceptional. we wanted traditional Sri Lankan curries and that’s what was prepared for us with spices and fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden. the rooms were huge. the gardens and views were stunningly beautiful and so quiet except for the sounds of the birds and monkeys. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💕

I would stay here again and again. It's close to everything a tourist needs, but also gives you a space away from all the street hustles and privacy. I and my husband loveddd this place. The room was so good, even with a ground floor room, we still had a wonderful view. the bed is hugeee, the shower was so good. The breakfast was perfect, we had good varieties, such as coffee, cold milk, cereals 2 types of juices, baked beans, pancakes, fruits, bacon, fruits, potatoes, bread, cakes, sausages, eggs and curd. And an additional buffet on the side for local dishes, which was close to 5 dishes. the restaurant it the top floor with a nice view, we went there for drinks and dinner, the meals are good. Very calm place. I loved it. The staffs are very polite and respectful of the guest's space. Fast Internet. The tv channels were so good, we could toast our phones away and enjoy a nice show on TV before bed.

We stayed at different hotels during our trip to Sri Lanka and Cassendra was the best. Everything was perfect: location, room, food (special thanks to the chef) and the staff. It was even sad to leave even though we spent only 2 nights there. Thank you very much for your warm welcome, we enjoyed it a lot!

Oh my god this was one of the best places we stayed at!! We were so happy when we arrived. The room is beautiful and the staff os very nice. They arranged something special for our honeymoon. We regret not coming here earlier. The kitchen had the best food! Also had a nice view over the lake and it is very close to the city center and shopping mall.
