Very spacious clean room - more than sufficient for 2 medium-sized suitcases, great soundproofing (barely heard any door slams or guests in the corridor), the convenience of self laundromats and potable tapwater, very strategic location right above JR Kokura Station. Will definitely return when I visit Kitakyushu.

Directly connected to JR Kokura Train Station, Rihga Royal Hotel boasts 7 dining and drinking options, massage services and an indoor swimming pool.

Location and amazing breakfast!

Designed by famous Italian architect Aldo Rossi, Mojiko Hotel towers over the Kanmon Strait waters. It offers cosy rooms with sea views, free WiFi and local Kyushu dishes at the on-site restaurant.

The spacious room has a great view of the sea, the bridges and the buildings on the opposite coastline. One can even see the drawbridge being opened and closed from the room window. It was a luxury to be able to sit in the room and enjoy the outside view any time of the day. Was even able to see the sunset. Breakfast was generous in terms of choices and quality. If seated near the windows, one can even see the morning sky and the sea view while eating breakfast.

Stayed here specifically to go to the nearby cable car, but it was unfortunately closed due to a typhoon. Despite that, we still enjoyed our one night stay because the staff were excellent and kind and made sure we were comfortable. Great place to stay.

The location overwhelming Murasaki River is beautiful. The staff were friendly and Ms Akane Furumi was really helpful. The fact that she spoke English was a godsend to us non-Japanese speaking tourists.
