The balcony overlooking the beach had a great view. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The beach was only a short 30 meter walk.

Spacious accommodation with free WiFi is provided at the Hotel Heidehof garni in Büdelsdorf. The hotel also features a well-equipped spa area and free parking, just 4 minutes from the A7 motorway.

We stayed at this location because it was also a great view point for ships along the Kiel Canal and it's close proximity to Schleswig Air Base which was holding a NATO military air exercize. We travelled from Western Canada to be part of this event. Well worth the location plus if you have an EV, their recharging rates are very reasonable if your car is less than 50% charge.
