We saw a sloth from reception! The staff were all incredibly friendly, the rooms are a rainforest haven and you feel very much at home.

Everything about this boutique hotel was fantastic. The staff and customer service were exceptional. The location, and grounds and free little night frog tour in their sanctuary, the delicious breakfast all made the stay memorable. The rooms was clean and sufficient. A bit small but there are larger ones. loved the outdoor shower.

This is an amazing place! The chalet is beautiful, clean and spacious. We had a fabilous view of the Arenal vulcano from our window and terrace. Chalets are surrounded by a beautiful garden where different wild and farm animals roam around. There was also a sloth living on a tree there. The little farm they have is extremely well maintained and you can try milking the cow and collecting eggs every morning. Animals seem very well cared for. The hot springs are gorgeous, the place makes you feel like you are in paradise. We highly recommend this place!

This was a divine place to stay. The resort is split into several houses with rooms on ground level and first floor. The rooms on the first floor have high wooden ceilings. The AC is very good and silent. WIFI is also fine. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. You live on a hillside opposite to the volcano and have the volcano in full view. The view changes all the time due to the weather. You can spend hours on the balcony. This is proper rain forrest and it rains daily. Half the experience of living here is walking the hotel grounds either by day or in the evenings carrying a flashlight. There are all kinds of critters to see. There are many trails to explore. There are always hummingbirds buzzing around and toucans visit from time to time. After a week you will know the different birds by their calls. We visited in late august and can highly recommend coming in the rainy season. Everything is green and fresh and there are flowers everywhere. You also avoid the crowds. The hotel was only about 20% booked which gives the visit a very private and exclusive touch. The nearby Mistico park was also not overrun. The same goes for the volcano trails. You pay by credit card everywhere. You can let all tours and extra costs go to the room and just pay a total at the end of the stay. Just bring cash for tips. We came for nature experiences and didn't use the pool, bar or the spa. We can recommend the Caño Negro and the Coffee & Cocoa tours.

Located 14 km from Arenal Volcano National Park, Lomas del Volcan offers lush gardens, an outdoor pool and a hot tub. Each air-conditioned cabin has free Wi-Fi and flat-screen cable TV.

The view is exceptional, the staff is very nice and the food in the restaraunt is very good. You can order tours to nearby locations and staff will help you managing that. The rooms are pretty basic, but comfortable and they have all one needs to have a relaxing holiday near nature. There is also a cool hiking trail through the jungle thdt circles back to the hotel and a swimming pool with an absolutely amazing view. Big thanks to Natalia and the rest of the crew for making our holiday so special!
