The hotel was perfect, with a very good location in front of the beach in a safe neighbourhood. The staff was polite and super helpful. The room was exactly as described. Very clean with amazing view. One of the best we have visited.

Kitchenette and living room areas are available in some rooms. All bathroom facilities are private and include a hairdyer. I liked everthing. It make me forget prior bad experiences in Argentina. The hotel offers a gym, a covered swimming pool, spa facilities and a massage treatment salon. Guests can also enjoy a sauna, a running area, casino and concierge. Comfortable beds and large room (we had a suite) with fantastic views of the city. The hotel is dated and needs refurbishing. Excellent location with easy access to all places of interest in the old town. Wide selection at breakfast, however, be prepared for processed foods. Gym also has most/all equipment for training. Overall, functional and comfortable.

Boasting spa and gym facilities, and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Sofitel Montevideo has chic rooms with free Wi-Fi only a 5-minute drive from Montevideo Airport, in the Carrasco neighbourhood. Breakfast is free for children under 12. We were on honeymoon and they gave us a little surprise that made us very happy. The hotel itself is spectacular.
