The location is perfect for exploring the old part of Porto, close to many main attractions. Just note that, like much of Porto, the walk to the hotel isn’t very wheelchair accessible due to the charming but uneven streets, and there’s no particular view from the rooms. Overall, a fantastic stay – I’d happily come back again!

The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at this 5-star hotel. We cannot offer enough praise for The Rebello. From the first moment, we received the warmest welcome and the utmost assistance at the front desk. We were helped to our room — an unexpected upgrade to a commanding river view — and introduced to all amenities which encompassed an all-inclusive mini-bar. We paid a visit to the restaurant/bar and were assisted by the most extraordinary Claudia for whom nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were prepared exactly to our liking due to Claudia’s willingness to communicate with the kitchen and the kitchen’s willingness to accommodate us. The next day, breakfast was similarly pleasing. We stayed only one night but that was enough to make us wish we had arrived much earlier. The hotel is a short walk to the dock for Uniworld and other river boats. Staff even offered to take our bags there for us! We love you guys at the Rebello!
