Bathrooms include a free-standing tub as well as free toiletries. The view from our room was amazing. The staff were amicable and professional. We took the boat tour on the Douro, which was relaxing and scenic. We would definitely go back again to the Octant Douro.

The luxurious Wine House Hotel in Lamego, in the heart of the Douro region, is surrounded by extensive private grounds with vineyards. This typical 18th-century house was restored, respecting its traditional architecture and original features. It blends modern design with historical ambiance. Lovely vineyard views. We had our best wine tasting ever. Vitor took the time to share great stories and we loved every choice he made for our tasting. Bought every bottle! Everyone here was very friendly and professional. Will be back for more!

After enjoying a delicious meal, accompanied, of course, by the finest wine, retire to the comfort of your beautiful guest room. Overlooking the vineyards and the river, the luxurious rooms are decorated in a period style and guarantee every possible comfort. Absolutely everything was a 10/10. We were welcomed so kindly from the beginning - had a welcome drink with the most gorgeous autumn views over the Douro while the room was prepared. The room was beautiful, spacious and so comfortable, we wish we would’ve stayed for longer! To top it all off, we had the tasting menu for our evening meal and loved all the variations on Portuguese classics, incredible food in a gorgeous setting. And the breakfast was also perfection - a mix of buffet options with a varied menu of cooked dishes. Would absolutely return in the summer to enjoy the terraces and the pool and can recommend to anyone visiting the Douro.

The breakfast had been delicious the Hotel has a unique atmosphere and gives every guest the feeling of being a VIP for them.

Douro Royal Valley features a restaurant, outdoor and indoor pools, tennis court and a Spa & Wellness centre. This was an exceptional hotel. Best parking we've had so far in Portugal. Our room had a balcony with a gorgeous view of the river. Breakfast was to die for!! I purchased two beautiful pieces of jewelry made by a local artist that were on display in the hotel lobby as well!!!

The food overall was absolutely amazing and the breakfast was superb. Variety and quality in abundance.
