This hotel was gorgeous. Everything from the foyer (lobby), the room, the view and the location was perfect. It is located a little outside the main tourist area, but it is only a short and very pleasant river walk away. The staff were exceptional. We actually enjoyed being a little bit away from the main tourist area as it does get very crowded.

They are what makes a 5 star hotel an outstanding 5 star hotel. Not by going through the robotic movements you find in several, worldwide, 5 star hotels, but by having selected these great, warm, people. They should be an inspiration to all Dusit hotel personnel. T his hotel is highly, highly, recommended. For the hotel standard, but above all, for the personnel. After all: it’s the people that make the experience. I can’t wait to revisit this hotel. Melaka itself is a smaller town with, despite being a tourist destination, very nice and hospitable people. The town itself boasts a lot of its long history with the Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch and British. The former City hall, het Stadthuys, is now a beautiful and informative museum. Definitely worth a visit. All that on only a 2 hour drive from KL.
