If you are coming for the temples we highly recommend the private tours offered by the hotel. They provided us with Em, an excellent guide, who knew everything about the temples and also gave us great insights to the modern history and contemporary society of Cambodia. The hotel provided the driver, who kept us refreshed with water and cold towels (much appreciated, after climbing up the steep steps of Angkor Wat!). We had a 3-day tour and Em planned and paced it beautifully, so that we visited 20 (!) temples in three days but without being exhausted or (totally) overwhelmed by the experience. Visiting the more remote temples in Koh Ker is absolutely recommended as they are stunning, serene places. Also more visitors by locals giving you a little flavour of local life. In short, come for the temples - stay for the Angkor Village Hotel!

Afternoon tea was a real treat. And the free evening transmission to Pub street was a great added bonus. Thank you to the staff for an amazing stay.
