Botania Relais & Spa - The Leading Hotels of the World is 500 metres outside Lacco Ameno, near Ischia’s San Montano Bay and the Negombo thermal spa, easily reached by a footpath. Rooms are located in Mediterranean villas. The staff went above and beyond. A very special place.

This 5-star hotel is around a 10-minute walk from Castello Aragonese and 150 metres from the lively Corso Vittorio Colonna main street. The property is a 10-minute drive from the ferry harbour of Ischia. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was beyond attentive and so helpful in making sure we had anything we needed. The grounds are beautiful, the spa gorgeous, clean and rejuvenating. Breakfast was superb as was dinner. It was not far from the castle and downtown shops, but secluded enough to give you a private Oasis. This place was so fabulous we had to force ourselves to go site-seeing. Just book it! You will be happy that you did.

Il Moresco is framed by a high lava-stone wall and a centuries-old park with pine trees, gardens and thermal-water pools. There is also an indoor wellness centre, parking is free.

All the rooms and suites at the San Montano Resort & SPA feature a TV and en-suite bathroom with slippers and free toiletries. All rooms have a balcony or a terrace, and some offer sea views. Amazing views, amazing breakfast, amazing staff

Rooms at Regina Isabella-Resort Spa Restaurant are furnished in a typical Mediterranean style, some with antique furniture. Each room has internet access, and a private balcony, with views of the garden or of the sea.

The Michelin-starred restaurant, Indaco, serves delicious cuisine of the Campania region and international recipes. There is live music in the cocktail bar every evening. The hotel is beautiful and has a wonderful location directly on the water with its own private beach. Fabulous breakfast buffet and very helpful concierge.

The wellness centre at the Manzi Hotel & Spa extends over 1600 m² and is built on the grounds of an antique thermal spa. The wellness centre is for adults only and a babysitting service is available on request. Hotel was lovely, room was clean and very comfortable. I liked the spa area and the gym as well. Breakfast was little bit limited but you were able to order for example omelette and other products from the kitchen. Staff was very welcoming and also when leaving early in the morning, they were waiting at the door and organised my travel to the airport.

The hotel's spa and wellness centre offers a range of treatments using the island's thermal waters. Guests can enjoy a luxurious massage in one of the outdoor gazebos.

The poolside restaurant has stunning sea views and a roof made of palm tree leaves, and the main restaurant is adjacent to the tower. The buffet breakfast of homemade bread and pastries is served on the terrace. Everything is perfect. Great place, amazing rooms, the best staff, delicious food.

Mare Blu Terme is in Ischia's old town, overlooking the Aragonese Castle and 200 metres from the main shopping street. The hotel features its own thermal baths and wellness centre. The rooftop terrace is equipped with free sun loungers, parasols and deckchairs. A classic-style hotel with many advantages. Preserved traditions, interior, maybe in the future it will wait for some renovation. Everything is very clean, tidy. We were there in May, there was a lack of good weather, so we did not use the private beach, which was well-maintained and waiting for us. We used the warm thermal indoor pool for free, passing through the open inner garden with plants. Excellent breakfast and service staff. Amazing view from the window. Next to the bus stop to the center and the ferry. We liked everything, it's a pity we stayed there only one night.

Set in Ischia, within 70 metres of Spiaggia dei Pescatori and less than 1 km of Aragonese Castle, Miramare E Castello offers a bar. Featuring a shared lounge, the 5-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Guests can use the spa and wellness centre with a sauna, and hot tub, as well as a restaurant. The staff is fabulous. Front desk support is consistently available to answer questions, make recommendations, and book reservations. This is our 3 stay between this property and Mare Blu- their sister hotel a few doors away. I prefer this location directly on the water, with beach direct access. The walk to the mineral pool at Mare Blu is quite easy. The breakfast spread is the best ever -- who can go wrong with fresh! The staff remembers you, your choices resulting in an experience that leaves you feeling catered to. Had one dinner at La Lampera-the rooftop restaurant that was delicious with excellent service. Love the location In a world we are blessed with many choices in, we will return here.

Miramare Sea Resort & Spa is set in a pedestrian-only area of Sant'Angelo, on the south coast of Ischia. Directly facing its private beach, it offers Mediterranean-style rooms with a sea-view balcony. Breakfast is buffet style. The people, the views, the breakfast, the service. It was all perfection!
