The only grandchild of a poor family whose grandfather worked in the basement in the winery for a wealthy Italian family and when they left it Nicola bought it. They took 12 years to restore the property and the result is stunning. A unique experience, very quiet location, perfect for a restful getaway. 5 stars to the chef, the food was perfect, best we have had on the road in the last 7 weeks, worthy of a Michelin star.
