The hotel was very unique, classy and cool to be in in the heat we experienced in Matera. On arrival we were greeted with an 'upgrade' which was special. The terrace bar and restaurant area had an amazing view of the old caves. The porter was amazing at getting all our bags to the hotel (a little trek to the hotel from the time you arrive in the square above the hotel). Very spacious rooms and our bathroom was nearly as big as the bedroom area. Staff all very helpful and gracious.

This is one of the most luxurious hotels I have stayed in. Nothing was too much, from parking our car to arranging a hair appointment. The spa and treatments were perfect. Amazing and outstanding.

The grounds and the building are beautiful. The dogs loved being able to roam around in the fully enclosed grounds,. The room was very large and everything was beautifully decorated.
