I even transformed the massive 65-inch TV into a laptop monitor, allowing me to work remotely from the comfort of my bed—it was such a fun experience! If you’re in Malang to explore Bromo, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. You won’t find a better blend of quality and value anywhere else!

Truly appreciate the efficient transport arrangement by the concierge, the signature welcome at reception, the cute elephant towels by housekeeping and the accommodating staff at Magnolia & Club Floor! I would definitely choose to stay at the Westin again when in Surabaya!

Rooms at Hotel Tugu are individually designed and decorated with antiques. Each room has a satellite TV, a minibar and tea/coffee making facilities. The en suite bathroom with a bathtub is stocked with a hairdryer, slippers and free toiletries. We spent 3 nights at Tugu Malang in January 2025 and found it to be the perfect base for visiting Mt Bromo and it was within walking distance to the Chinese temple and local flower markets. They served a complimentary afternoon tea each day with various local treats and a range of herbal teas which were delicious - most of the treats came from the neighbouring bakery that is also worth a visit. We liked the furnishings in our room and the toiletries were top notch. They provided fresh fruit in our room on a daily basis and we had fresh flowers which were a lovely touch. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel contains a treasure trove of artworks and antiques and well worth an exploration. We loved our meals at the hotel restaurants, especially SaigonSan. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Guests can also enjoy various dining options within the property. It was a trip for my mom and me after 2 years since I have been studying overseas. It was a perfect and awesome experience for us! We stayed 7 nights at the resort, which had a traditional buffet, café, and some shops on the first floor, as well as a swimming pool, fitness center, spa, and Italian restaurant on the third floor. Our room was on the 21st floor, and the view was awesome! Every meal (both the breakfast and dinner buffets) was fresh and delicious, with a wonderful atmosphere. Koko was a great guide in exploring Indonesian food, and his special Nasi Goreng dishes were fantastic. The café on the first floor offered excellent coffee and bread, especially the traditional desserts. Royhan recommended a traditional beer and a mocktail (something with "beach" in the name, though I can't recall exactly), and the bartender was very skilled in making them (We loved his latte and mocktail). The swimming pool and spa were amazing, and we really miss them! We are definitely planning our next trip here soon!
