La Prometida is a beautiful hotel with a real personal touch from the owners who were also incredibly helpful in advising and providing recommendations for the surrounding area (as were all the staff, who were also so friendly!). Breakfast was also delicious with various options to choose from.

Owners were very sweet and welcoming, they prepared breakfast every morning for us, explained everything about the area, gave us great advice about places to visit and to eat at. We stayed in a honeymoon apartment - it had really nice spacious shower. It was clean, beds were comfy, beach was 5 minutes away.

This hotel is completely utterly exceptional. We arrived to our stay to find ourselves with a free room upgrade- and what a room it was! It was something out of a movie- private pool and outdoor showers, incredibly comfortable beds. The staff are all exceptionally kind and helpful- they cannot do more for you. One member of staff in particular offered to give me a lift in to town to help me buy a phone charger. The food on site is excellent and affordable, the private beach is like something out of a movie. You are a 10 min cycle from the bustling town and several other beautiful beaches. I am a hotel designer and it is rare that I enjoy the look and feel of a property so thoroughly- I have no notes, this place is simply-stunning.

Beautifully secluded but a short walk into the centre and beach. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful. We even did a coffee tasting experience with Kenria which was brilliant and would highly recommend. Extremely clean, great pool and felt luxurious. We even saw a sloth in the tree whilst having breakfast.

Stylish luxury completely immersed in nature. The restaurant and beachclub with second pool at the oceanfront are amazing and have delicious choices One out of 5 higher class hotels we stayed at during our 2 week trip and we all liked it best. The combination with a huge private beach area is perfect. We liked to see some agutis on the property. I got cake with candles, singing waiters and balloonflowers for my birthday! Good to know: you need to cross a street between hotel and restaurant/beachclub/ocean.

This place is simply outstanding. The attention to all little details is exceptional. Fran and Andy are incredibly friendly and authentic and do everything possible to make your stay unforgettable. There is absolutely nothing to improve. The breakfast is delicious, the coffee service in the morning is the best feature I have ever experienced, the garden and the villas are sensational. The rooms are well organized and clean. The beds are superb. The staff is most friendly and helpful. The food is really great and the location is perfect as well. A lot of wildlife since it is in the middle of a national park. Many monkeys, toucans, sloths... so far the best stay in all of Costa-Rica!
