The property is around 21 km from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, 2.1 km from Baofeng Lake and 3.1 km from Suoxiyu. The hotel has a hot tub, room service and free WiFi. What a beautiful place! The first thing I said to my wife when we got into the room was, “I want my bedroom to be like this!” It is so beautifully decorated and well-kept. We arrived extremely early and were allowed to check-in early and have breakfast (cannot say that this is the norm, and should be an expectation, this is just our experience). The bath is lovely and the water-pressure from the shower is amazing…..possibly the best shower I’ve had! We appreciated how close it is to the National Park and the Grand Canyon. The staff were very helpful and so welcoming. We managed to book all of our excursions through the hotel and all of our questions (of which there were many!) were answered. If I were to revisit Zhangjiajie, I would stay at this hotel without hesitation. Oh, and a special thank you for collecting us from the train station!

There is a restaurant serving Chinese cuisine, and free private parking is available. Stayed here for a few nights and it was absolutely brilliant. The location is spot on – right opposite the cable car, and you’ve got everything you need just downstairs. Room was clean, tidy and the bed was proper comfy. Breakfast had plenty to choose from and the coffee hit the spot. But what really made it was the staff – they’re absolute legends. Helped us sort everything from pick-ups to tickets, and even gave us a few local tips that weren’t in the guides. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they did it all with a smile. Felt relaxed and well looked after the whole time. Definitely recommend this place if you’re after an easy, no-hassle stay in Zhangjiajie. Top stuff!

My stay at Guan Yun Shan Ju was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Tucked away in the serene mountains, this lodge truly lives up to its name "Cloud-Gazing." Waking up to a sea of clouds right outside our window was nothing short of magical. The room was impeccably clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with a tasteful blend of modern comfort and traditional charm. The wooden beams and soft lighting created a very cozy atmosphere. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional; they were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was another highlight! We enjoyed delicious, locally-sourced meals that were both fresh and flavorful. Sitting on the terrace, sipping tea, and watching the clouds roll by was the perfect way to unwind. It's an ideal retreat for anyone looking to disconnect from the city's hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be returning.

Mate, the location is unbeatable – just a lazy stroll to the beach and a couple of solid cafes for a flat white that actually tastes like coffee. The room was spotless, the bed was proper comfy, and the little balcony was a gem for having a cold one in the arvo. Big thumbs up for being eco-friendly with the water-saving measures and the solar panels. Good on ya's. But what really made it were the staff. No drama, just really laid-back and helpful. Gave us a top tip about a secret surf break that wasn't crawling with people. We almost booked one of the big chain hotels – so glad we didn't. This place has heaps more character. Fair dinkum, no mucking about, we'll be back. Cheers!

It was truly an unparalleled experience, absolutely fantastic. Zhangjiajie is incredibly beautiful, and the feeling of being immersed in such a stunning environment was simply wonderful. Their property is very beautiful. The breakfast was also delicious, and the staff here are lovely. We're very grateful for their travel advice and assistance—booking tickets and arranging a guide was extremely efficient. Having an English-speaking butler was so important.
