The family-owned 5-star Hotel Schweizerhof Luzern is located right in the Old Town of Lucerne, next to the lake. It offers a spa area and elegant rooms with modern furniture. The Culture and Convention Centre and the train station are only a 10-minute walk away. This was the best 5-star hotel we stayed in and not because of amenities but overall thought that the hotel team had put in the customer experience. Eric at front desk made us so very welcome, I think he is a trainee but did a fabulous job of checking us in. I would say one of the best exp we ever had. Multiple times (including post checkout), we were provided chocolates, muffins and water - all complimentary. They let us extend our checkout without any hassle, in fact kept our luggage post checkout when we had to pick up the car rental. It does not take money to give experiences to the customers, that is what I learnt from this team.
