We absolutely loved everything about this stay! Everything was tastfully decorated and the property is in general very well maintained. Gorgeous view of the ocean, pretty much a private beach and nice pool. But what made our last days of our honeymoon extra special was the exceptional service by the wonderful staff. We loved the combination of informality (always open for a chat and a joke) and their on-point service and eye for detail (remembering how you drink your coffee, allergies etc). They even surprised us with a romantic dinner at the beach front, surrounded by torches and flowers and decorated our room (again) while we were dining! Lakshan is a true towel artist!! Special thanks to Mithuu, Lakshan and Kamal for the exceptional service and making our last days extra special. Would recommend to everyone!!

My review is based on just one day of stay and everything we had the chance to experience. During our journey of discovering Sri Lanka, I had to choose a hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday, and Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort exceeded all my expectations. A special thank you to the wonderful team, and especially to our host Imalka, who went above and beyond to prepare a surprise for my wife – all improvised on the same day. The resort is truly paradise, fully living up to its five-star status, from check-in to check-out, with excellent facilities. The room is spacious, clean, and elegant, surrounded by gardens and offering stunning sea views. The pool is fantastic, with plenty of space to relax. The beach is peaceful and perfect for relaxing, although the sea can be quite rough. However, this is not a problem, as there is a nearby beach where swimming is safer. That beach is also charming, with seaside bars and restaurants. The bar at the Il Mare restaurant offers a happy hour with great drinks, breathtaking views, and a stunning sunset. Dinner at Journeys was the cherry on top – a warm ambiance and exquisitely prepared cuisine. Breakfast was also exceptional. Even though I am familiar with the Anantara brand and have stayed at several of their resorts worldwide, Tangalle Resort managed to surprise us. We even considered staying an extra night, but that would have disrupted our travel plans in Sri Lanka. Without a doubt, this is a hotel to return to for a longer stay. Thank you to the staff, Imalka, and Anantara!

HIGHLIGHT OF OUR HONEYMOON. We had the most amazing three nights at Ziba. Even before our arrival, communication was excellent, and we were immediately impressed by the team’s warm welcome and attention to detail! We chose the slightly smaller room on the top floor, with an incredible ocean and jungle view. The infinity pool more than makes up for it, leading you straight towards a breathtaking ocean view. Throughout our stay, we enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner on several occasions. The Eggs Benedict were to die for, as were the chicken burger and Caesar salad. For those who enjoy spicy food, we recommend the Tom Yum soup. The extremely friendly hosts are truly kind and welcoming, always happy to share local tips, have a chat, and make sure we had everything we needed. Ziba is the perfect place for anyone looking to disconnect! The silent beach is just a three-minute walk away; while the sea was a little rough during our stay, we still enjoyed quick dips. We also visited Hiriketiya Beach, about a 20-minute tuk-tuk ride away - very easy to get to, with plenty of restaurants, little bars, and fantastic waves for surfing. If we return, we would definitely choose to stay at Ziba again – for its beautiful location, the amazing staff, and the warmth of the hosts. Also worth mentioning: the beds were incredibly comfortable, the linens soft and smooth. Both the air conditioning and fan worked perfectly. My wife, who is very sensitive when it comes to sleep, slept like a baby. One final tip – don’t forget your suncream! The tropical sun is no joke, even when it’s cloudy.

Very nice Villa close to the beach. The property is amazing, super well decorated, clean and comfortable. All the staff is great, very welcoming and warm with the guests. They were always trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food is great, both for breakfast and for dinner, really good sri lankan food!
