Overall our stay was amazing, the tents are comfortable and very clean, the food was nice but nothing exceptional, we were not able to do any of the hikes due to personal circumstances but it was still a very pleasant stay

The best hotel we stayed at in Sri Lanka! The people were amazing, the rooms were beautiful, and the food was even better. We also did a hiking tour with the hotel’s guide, which was an incredible experience. We highly recommend staying for at least two days — it takes about two hours to drive up the mountain, and you’ll want a full day to explore the beautiful surroundings. Stayed 1 night at this magical place and wish we had more time to enjoy this amazing property. We really wanted to fit in a round of golf before leaving Sri Lanka and were very lucky to have spent the night at Bougainvillea Retreat, who very kindly offered us a late checkout as we were flying out in the middle of the night, which meant we had time for 18 holes on our last day, we loved absolutely everything, the food was spectacular. Chef met us on arrival and discussed food preferences and so tailored the menu to our liking. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both served on the terrace with magnificent views of the mountains and reservoir. Our room was comfortable, well appointed, spacious and again with stunning views of the surroundings Service was welcoming, warm, above and beyond, even with so little time, our laundry was washed, and ironed in 24 hours. The property and grounds are well kept and probably the cleanest we have experienced on our trip! Our only regret is that we had so little time here. We hope to visit again. Thank you to the staff and of course every precious pet too for a thoroughly (albeit short) enjoyable stay
