Beautiful colonial building with nice gardens. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are so attentive and helpful. Was the perfect choice after a busy 10 days travelling around Sri Lanka. They upgraded me to a better room which was very kind.

Me and my partner are frequent travelers, but also in comparison to many other hotels, we were staying at, Tabula Rasa Resort ist definetely in top 3. Amazing attention to details: starting from the service of the stuff, ending with how clean, well-thought and stylish the hotel is. The stuff deserves special thank you: we were provided with EVERYTHING we were just thinking about: the scooter, motorcycle, information about the wanted tours or help with the tours we planned by ourself. The Transfer-Guy who was organized by the hotel to bring us was late for 1 hour due to traffic: as a compensation we got free head massage. The guy in the restaurant came earlier 2 times (at 5:30!!) just to serve us two early breakfast and coffee. Even when in the beginning of our stay it was just two of us in the hotel they did the maximum program: with music, atmosphere, service, beautiful lights in the hotel. It is definetely a 5-star experience and service and we would definitely recommend the hotel to all of the people coming to Sri Lanka. And big thank you for the owners (if the sprites are true dutch architect and designer;) for making the hotel exclusively beautiful.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The service was exceptional, and the highlight was definitely the Sri Lankan breakfast featuring the delicious coconut sambal – a definite must-try! The rooms were spacious, surrounded by lush greenery, and impeccably maintained. We particularly loved the large balcony where breakfast was served, offering a lovely touch of tranquility. The location, slightly outside the old fort, was perfect for us. The short tuk-tuk ride through the charming Sri Lankan streets added to the experience, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the local atmosphere and cool down in the breeze. While some reviews mentioned concerns about the hotel’s location, we found it to be a deliberate choice, offering a peaceful retreat away from the tourist crowds. Special mention goes to Kumudu, the owner, who was incredibly responsive. A simple text resulted in a tuk-tuk arriving within minutes, providing convenient transportation to and from the old fort. It was comforting to have a friendly face associated with the hotel for our travels. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to experience authentic Sri Lankan hospitality away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas.

This is a quaint and charming building located within Galle fort. The hotel exudes a strong heritage character and offers a beautifully designed space. I particularly enjoyed the iced tea served upon arrival, and the breakfast was exceptional. The hotel is conveniently within walking distance of numerous shops and restaurants, yet it remains secluded enough to ensure a peaceful night's rest. Also love the music playlist of the hotel :)

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Galle Fort. We arrived late in the evening and they came with refreshing towels and even had kept the restaurant open given that they assumed we would not have had dinner so that we could still order something which is super super considerate. The room was great, spacious and clean. We asked for a late checkout and while this was not possible anymore they provided us the ability to still take a shower at the end of the day and use their facilities before we would leave for the airport which was so much more than we expected. We also could leave our bags there. Breakfast was amazing and the chef himself checked in for every meal we had. We also had dinner the next day which was very good. The hotel is in a great location in the fort and beautifully maintained. The staff was ABSOLUTELY wonderful and did everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible, we would for sure stay here again in the future and I can recommend it to everyone. Thank you all so much!!!
